We are here to encourage and support parents in helping kids love God with all their heart, soul, and strength. It’s our privilege to be an extension of the home by responding to the call to make disciples. We value the role of hands-on intergenerational community in the spiritual formation of children.
“And Jesus took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.” Mark10:16

The Sunday school hour sits between the two worship services at 9:45 a.m. During the school year, Sunday school is offered in age-appropriate settings. Family registration is required.
Preschool
Our preschool class is for 3, 4, and 5 year olds in Prekindergarten. DiscipleLand is our exciting age-appropriate curriculum. Three year olds must be potty-trained and have already turned three at the time the school year begins.
Elementary
The Workshop Rotation is the format for our Sunday school. It’s an innovative way to experience Sunday school that takes seriously the spiritual development of children while providing exciting activities to engage them in a new level of learning and retention. Kindergarten through fifth grade kids rotate with their “Shepherd” to a different workshop each Sunday.
Children’s Church is a place for kids to worship the Lord kid-style! Potty trained 3 yr. olds through 3rd grade children are dismissed during the Sunday worship service and go to the Children’s Chapel downstairs in the children’s wing.
Crew Kids are 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who have applied for a leadership position in the Children’s Church ministry. Crew Kids help young children know God better through Bible stories, puppet skits, prayer, songs, and dance. Everyone wants to be a Crew Kid!
1st grade through 5th grade
Children’s Ministry is offered during Fall semester and Spring semester on Wednesday nights. Half of the evening the kids will participate in Children’s Choir - learning and rehearsing new music to be shared in worship. They will be presenting a Children’s Musical in the spring. Pioneer Club takes place opposite of choir. At Pioneer Club kids have fun with friends, learn Christian values by reading the Bible and form positive Christian relationships while earning Bible awards, Activity awards and Game awards.
Wednesday nights at First Pres. is a great way for kids to grow spiritually with their friends.
Babies to 3 year olds
The Nursery Ministry is honored to help parents disciple their children to know and love Jesus. Our team of CPR certified staff and volunteers are excited to provide a safe and fun environment for your little one, while allowing you to be in worship and in community.
The nursery is available during all worship services and most special events. We ask that your child meet our health guidelines posted at the sign-in window. Parents are issued a pager for easy access.
Also know that we would be happy to have you join us as a volunteer. You’ll just need to submit a volunteer form. This would be a great way for you to see first-hand what your little one is experiencing in our nursery.
FPC serves families of all shapes and sizes. Whether you're looking to strengthen your parenting skills or enrich your family and spiritual life, you'll find many opportunities here throughout the year.
Parenting classes are occasionally offered during our Wednesday night midweek ministry opportunities.
PIT Stops – Parents in Training – an evening for parents to support one another while guest speakers address specific parenting topics. Childcare is provided.
Community Groups meet during the Sunday school hour to discuss the sermon as it relates to us, to encourage and deepen our fellowship with one another, and to serve the greater Greeley community together as a family.
