Women's Ministry
Purpose: To provide opportunities for women to cooperate with God so Christ may be fully formed in every woman of the church.
Biblical Basis: “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son.” Romans 8:29
Our Purpose is undergirded by the three fold intentionality:
- Love the women
- Meet them at their need
- Encourage them into the heart of Jesus
Envisioning Women's Ministry as a wheel, the hub of the wheel is the study of God's Word. Bible study is the primary activity of the ministry. Although the Scriptures are the focus of a life-changing women's ministry, mere knowledge of the Bible is not the desired goal. Rather it is first a deeper relationship with God and then healthy, intimate relationships with other women.
Our theme for 2009-2010 is “Becoming a Woman of Influence.” Where has the Lord already positioned YOU for His Kingdom? What new territory might He be leading you into for a lost and hurting world? What does it mean to be an influence for Christ? These are some of the questions we will be exploring this next year in Women's Bible study--come join us! Moms in Prayer
Join us Monday mornings beginning September 14th from 11:00am-12:00pm. Women of all life stages will be praying the scriptures for their children and grandchildren. Childcare provided.
Women’s special events are an integral part of our calendar year at FPC. Dessert socials, holiday decorating, a Christmas table tea, a weekend retreat and a movie night are some of the events offered this year. We hope you can join us for one of these events!
Saturday, October 17, from 9:00am – 11:00am “Reaching Out Through Your Healthy Pantry” Learn how to stock a healthy pantry, get your annual health checklist and create simple treats to share with others seeking the love of Christ.
